If you are using a hydroponic setup, you can get a PH test kit from a tropical fish store. You add a few drops of solution to a small container of your nutrient solution and get a fairly accurate result. Do the test after you add the nutrient solution because it usually changes the PH level. You can get a PH up or PH down kit from a hydroponics store. This is to adjust the PH as necessary. You might be able to get PH adjust kits from other sources, but I feel safest getting it from a store that sells items that are safe enough to add to solutions that are used to grow food.
